Go Hotels partners with Xymax of Japan

Robinsons Land Corporation’s Go Hotels has teamed up with the newly opened Karaksa Hotels of Japanese firm Xymax Corporation amid the growing number of Filipino tourists visiting the Land of the Rising Sun.

Noting the lack of hotel rooms to address the growing demand from Filipino tourists, RLC and Xymax formed an alliance that will allows Xymax to sell its Karaksa Hotels in Japan to the Philippine market through the Go Hotels’ website, www.gohotels.ph.

Karaksa Hotels, a new economy Japanese hotel brand owned and developed by Xymax Corporation, is similar to the Go Hotels brand of the Philippines with added innovations in room amenities and facilities to adapt to Japanese standards.

The first two Karaksa Hotels opened in the top tourist destination of the Kansai region, Osaka Shinsaibashi and Kyoto.

More Karaksa Hotels are scheduled to open in Tokyo and Hokkaido. Xymax plans to open 1,500 hotel rooms in the next three years.

Guest rooms of Karaksa Hotels all come with high-quality beds, hot and cold shower, bath amenities, free Wi-Fi, buffet breakfast for all the guests, and use of slippers and pajamas (in keeping with Japanese culture).

Some Karaksa Hotels also have a leisure floor dedicated as social spaces to dine, hang out, relax and enjoy. Massage chairs and trendy vending machines are some of the amenities found in the leisure floor.

RLC’s hotels division aims to grow the number of rooms across its Summit and Go Hotels brands by 53 percent to 3,331 rooms by 2018 from 2,174 rooms as of the end of fiscal year 2015.

It will open Go Hotels Davao this year; Summit Maxilom, Summit Tacloban and Go Hotels Iligan in fiscal year 2017; and Summit Naga, Summit Amisa, Go Hotels Naga and Go Hotels Tuguegarao by 2018.

“This does not include the franchised Go Hotels by the Roxas group which is planning to open five Go Hotels branches,” noted RLC president Frederick D. Go. (JAL)

Guimaras Island

Situated around 20 minutes away by motorboat or ferry, Guimaras is easily accessible from Iloilo. In fact, from certain parts in Iloilo, you could already see this neighboring island!

Well-known for its agricultural products and most especially the mangoes, all things mango can be found here such as mango biscocho, mango pizza, and even mango pizza! Guimaras has its numerous beaches to boast of as well. This island is home to the Guisi Lighthouse and Trappist Monastery, which are some of its tourist come-ons.

Before it was made an independent province back in 1992, Guimaras was a sub-province of Iloilo. You could also visit the Guimaras museum or hire a tour guide to know more about this quiet and beautiful island.

And if you’re looking for an affordable yet quality stay, Go Hotels Iloilo is around 10 minutes away from the port to and from Iloilo! Another easy access! No need to think twice to book now! 😉

See how Cecillia C felt about her stay!

This hotel was conveniently located to my cousin’s wedding venue. Most of our over 50 family members stayed here before and after the wedding. If you just need a place to sleep, this is a great option.

They are strict about enforcing their check in times. They require payment for early check in.

Cost: Very inexpensive and great value for what we got.

Accommodations: Very clean and comfortable rooms. Cable TV in every room. Free wifi. Toiletries were provided in some rooms but not others.

Common Area: The linoleum floors and high ceilings reverberate noise a lot, so any noise in the hallways are very clearly heard in the rooms. This shouldn’t be much of a problem, unless you have a big party like ours creating a lot of noise.

Location: Next to a very small shopping area, with some restaurants.

Review by Jane S.

I like the atmosphere of the tables and chairs outside the rooms where you can eat your food .. there is a small food outlet at the lobby and vendor machines for coffee and snacks if you have a late arrival .. Robinsons Mall is downstairs with a variety of restos, supermarket, pharmacy, hairdresser etc etc .. the rooms are quite generous for space, clean, the hot water and aircon are good .. highly recommend for long or short stay
